You are whisked back in time to the romance of transatlantic voyages and vessels, luxury yachting enjoyed by the ultra wealthy of the Eastern Seaboard or even the drama of Bogie and Hepburn aboard the brave African Queen.
Mystique was built in 1984, by a Virginia cabinet craftsman, from design plans of similar vessels frequently used to transport guests of wealthy yacht owners to and from their homes. Crafts of similar design were also used in the Chesapeake Bay of the 1930’s as crabbing boats.
Our replica harbour launch Mystique is made almost entirely of mahogany and teak. She features all the amenities expected by her former aristocratic patrons and by our current guests, such as running water, working “necessary room” or “head,” ice chests for food and beverages, lights and, for more recent safety and convenience, marine VHF radio and radar. In fact, were it not for her role as the “Pride of Harbour Town Yacht Club”, she might even make a comfortable “live aboard” for seamen so inclined!
Age-old romantic fantasies notwithstanding, step aboard Mystique and you will immediately experience an “in the moment” occasion to relax. You and yours will savor the softly swaying waters of our Calibogue Sound and island environs. Harbour Town Yacht Club Members all agree that cruising aboard our 42-foot yacht, Mystique , is just about the best way possible to begin or end a day. Sunset, afternoon and even mid-day cruises offer sparkling interludes to glistening days in Hilton Head.
Perhaps you’re expecting a little ‘adventure.’ Mystique’s captain and crew can navigate to waters roiling with the pitch and play of dolphin; where other marine life cut and cavort through the watery landscape. Or, you may just want to “chill-out and veg.” There’s no place on Hilton Head to accomplish that better!
Mystique comfortably accommodates nineteen (19) passengers. She is the perfect setting for personal outings and even business entertaining.
